If there’s one thing to count Studio Diomedéa in for, it’s a nice execution of visual style. And the bizarre adventure continues. You know, there’s something really special about the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series. On the one hand, there’s the fact that it’s so epitomical of the shōnen genre (that it almost hurts); but on the other hand, simultaneously it’s such a jubilantly unique series, that even beyond its choice of wardrobe, there’s a completely captivating zest to it. While there are some clear-cut conventional shōnen tropes that occur in this episode, the sequence of scenarios in that they transpire prove JJBA to truly be a one-of-a-kind series, even amongst this current generation of innovative, postmodern shōnen series.
